Closing

To sum up what has happened since to got the slaves from the Henson plantation. Is that I first I went to go to the Riley plantation to get slaves to transfer to the Riley plantation in Mississppi further south. The slaves in the new plantation would cottonpick on Monday - Saturday the slaves wouldn't work on sunday because it was a day of resting for them but I think it is foolish having a day to rest working should be non- stop for them. Then a few days after a white man by the name of Massa Ross came in to look for slaves to help him study birds. Mr. Ross took Adam and Lester. I was wrong about Mr. Ross I think he is the one that helped the slaves escape. He let Junlily, Liza, Lester and Adam esacpe. The night after they escaped I brought out the blood hounds to find them. I would've let the blood hounds chew on them for a bit and then let them go to the fields and work and be whipped non- stopped. Mr. Ross is a disgrace to white men!

Theme: Bravery

I think another theme is bravery because I think who ever trys to escape has to guts to try to pull one on me. Who ever escapes I will hunt them until the day I die, I will not let go past me when I am down. Also I feel that why would a white man give up his life to save a slave! Do you know how much money you can make if you just capture slaves and not save them! $500 a piece, you could get almost anything you want with that money! If anyone is brave enough to go all their way just to save a black person that is just the waste of their time, it is like suicide to me because if you get caught you get nothing after. You are probably in prison for a lifetime. Another thing is that why would a country let everyone have freedom? The blacks are different than us! They shouldn't be treated the same, they could be a threat if we let them go free. Ehh I wouldn't be that brave to do that besides I have everything that I need, what more could a fat man ask. Fat means you are rich and being rich is all I need. I'm not going to risk my money to save slaves. Who would be crazy enough to do that! That would be giving up half a million dollars for a piece of bread. That is how little you get from saving a slave ,I bet.

The Escape

I am so furiously mad right now! How could I let the those slaves escape! I should of been mroe careful having someone outside coming into the plantation. I knew I should of took a close eye on Mr.Ross, I bet he is the one who help the slaves escaped in the first place. Now I'm hunting them down with my blood hounds and having slave hunters hunting for them and bringing them back to be whipped for an eternity until they learn their lesson on escaping. Also the dangers of escaping and what you be going through when you get caught. The things I would do when I see them again. I would even let one of the blood hounds eat them alive and I would be there staring at my success! The slaves names were Liza, June Lilly, Lester and Adam. I'm surpirsed that Ben one of the three men I picked. I hope that one of the slaves died trying to escape.

Theme: Cruelty

The theme of the book in my point of view is cruelty because I am a sinister slave owner, that practically tortures the black slaves. . I think that about myself because you have to be cruel to get on with life, be a successful person and be a wealthy man. Cruelty is an important part of life when you want to get what you want in life such as wealth. Being cruel you get people to do what you want whenever such as whipping them, and if guys are suppose to be the strongest ones they should be in more difficult situation and have the brains to get out of a tough situation. A tough situation would be getting out a swamp that is pulling you in. Some of the accomplishments you get with being cruel is being a successful slave trader, being wealthy, and getting almost what you want.
